About UCF

The Uniting Church Foundation (UCF) plays a significant role in resourcing the mission and activities of the Uniting Church in Queensland.

Through the financial support of individuals, UCF is able to make possible both new projects and ongoing services and ministries of the church, through congregations, community service activities and Synod-based services.

Established as a perpetual trust in 1991 as part of the Uniting Church in Australia Property Trust (Q.), UCF invests the capital from gifts and bequests to fund this important work.

Governance

UCF is overseen by a voluntary board of management with experience across financial, legal and church backgrounds. Members are elected by voting at the Synod meeting and serve for a minimum period of three years.

Among its duties, the board is responsible for allocating grants, setting the investment strategy, approval of the operational plan and it reports to the Council of Synod as required.
